What is Schools Aquathlon?
Schools Aquathlon is a ‘not for profit’ children’s swimming and running event which was launched in May 2012 as a new initiative for England’s Olympic year to get as many children as possible involved in trying out a new sport. In 2013 over 750 boys and girls aged between 7 and 13 entered this fantastic competition. Over 300 competitors completed the course within the qualifying times to win a place at the National Schools Aquathlon Finals held in May 2013.
Schools Aquathlon is open to boys and girls aged between 7 and 13 years of all abilities. Every finisher is awarded a medal and there is a plethora of additional medals for individual competitors in every age group and a shield for the overall winning school.
Extreme Adventure Kids is proud to support this initiative and continue England’s Olympic legacy for many years to come!
In 2014 there will be six schools aquathlons held between April – June, including races for parents, friends and teachers! Please follow the link below for 2014 dates.
All of the childrens’ competitions are qualifiers for the National Finals held at Haileybury school on Saturday 7th June 2014.
